It has been a while, a long while since I’ve last posted on my blog, but it’s been a busy year for me. But that’s for another blog. 😉
So, I received a lovely PR package from Danielle at @kocostar_uk. I was sent one of each of the lemon and watermelon slice mask face sheet.
Kocostar is a Korean based brand which sells products that you can use for your face, lips, hair and feet that is affordable. What’s different about the slice mask sheets, is that it is actual circular slices rather than a whole face sheet.
Inside each packet it comes with a total of 12 slices that you have to peel off from the sheet, six large slices and six small slices, these slices can be used on the face, neck, arm or anywhere you desire for 20-30 minutes. 🙂
The first one I used was the lemon slice face sheet, this one is used to brighten & lighten the skin tone which gives you a more glowing finish. Once I applied it onto my skin, I could smell a nice hint of lemon, I left it on my skin for 25 minutes, I immediately saw my skin looking brighter and I had a glow to it. Even the next day my skin was looking illuminated throughout the whole day.
I used the watermelon face sheet a few weeks later, on my face and neck, as the cold season is starting to settle in, my skin has been feeling extremely dry. The watermelon slice sheet is used to keep the skin refreshed and hydrated. Once applied, for some reason my skin had a tingling sensation to it, I have no idea why, or what different ingredient it had than the lemon slice sheet, I managed to keep it on my skin for 15 minutes and afterwards I took it off and saw I had extreme redness across my face where the slices were placed. However, I did see that my skin was a bit hydrated the day after. So I don’t really have an answer to that one, lol.
The Kocostar slice sheets are available at Boots, Topshop, Urban Outfitters, Asos, and other retailers online and on Instagram. The prices range from £3/£4, be sure to check retailers where you are buying the slice sheets from, and make sure they are trusted sources.
