September Makeup Haul

I’ve done it again, I’ve been unstoppable this past month. Going crazy & setting alarms for the new palettes to drop for this season. I am a makeup addict, and I need serious help. I put my hand up, and admit, I need major help. But buying makeup is better than getting help.

Also it’s so worth it, these beautiful palettes, so dreamy, so sensational, so amazing. So don’t be a hater. Be an admirer 😉

  1. BH Cosmetics Liquid Linen Lip Colour – beautybay.co.uk – £9
I bought the BH Cosmetics Liquid Linen Lip Colours and obviously I got dark autumn shades, as it is that season to wear them 😛
I bought the shade Monica, which is a Dusty Mauve. Jaqueline, a Burgundy Plum, and Maria that is a Deep Red.
These liquid lipsticks, when applied are lightweight, smudge proof and waterproof, when I swatched them on my hand, they didn’t budge at all.

  2. Certifeye Glow Highlighter – certifeye.co.uk – £9
Next purchase was the new Certifeye glow collection. It’s a highlighter, that I had to purchase, it is super affordable and the glow can be seen from space.
I got the shade Pulsar, and I feel that it is suitable for all skin complexions.
  3. NYX Professional Makeup Can’t Stop Won’t Stop 24 Hour Foundation – feelunique.co.uk – £15
I heard mixed reviews about this, I thought I would purchase this and try out a different drugstore foundation. I wore this foundation and it didn’t work with me at all. It was super drying and it broke up around my nose and cheeks. This foundation is for someone who has super oily skin. I found it was hard to blend as well, I used a beauty blender. And it just didn’t go well with me. I also feel, for a drugstore brand it is a bit pricey, the product comes in a glass bottle, and there is a range of 45 shades, and it has a matte finish. The coverage I would say is medium, that can be buildable to full.
  4. NYX Profesional Makeup Matte Bronzer – Boots – £8
As my benefit hoola bronzer has come to an end, I was looking for an affordable dupe, and came across this bronzer. It is super affordable, easy to apply and it has now become my go to for when I want a natural contoured look.
  5. Huda Beauty Obsessions Palette – cultbeauty.co.uk – £25
I was obsessed with these palettes and kept checking CultBeauty’s website twice a day. I had my eye on the Topaz palette and the Amethyst palette. The other palettes are beautiful, but realistically I don’t think I will ever walk around with bright green eyeshadow on. That’s just not me.
The Topaz palette is my kind of palette that I would use for everyday or rare ocassions, with its rose golds, oranges and brown tones. It is the perfect palette for me to create my grungy eye looks 😉

The Amethyst palette was from my husband, he knows that purple is my favourite colour and told me to go ahead and purchase it. I don’t think I can use this palette on its own to create an eye look that suits me, but it’ll be a palette I’d mix with another one to create a purple smokey eye.
Yes, these palettes are tiny for the price, but Huda’s products are so worth the money. She invests in perfecting the formula and I feel by far she has the best eyeshadow palettes in the makeup industry.
  6. Urban Decay Naked Cherry – urban decay.co.uk – £42
This was another palette I was adamant to buy, and the UK website had this palette on sale for only 48 hours and I snatched it up quicker than I could blink.

The shades are very appealing to me, yes it has a few similarities to the Naked Heat, however the Naked Heat is a bit more darker with deeper reds, and the Naked Cherry is filled with rosey pinks to metallic burgundy shades. This palette can be used for a day at the office to a night out with friends. For us asians, it’s a good palette to use when you’ve got to go to someones wedding 😉
  7. Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry Palette – anastasiabeverlyhills.co.uk – £43
There was literally no need for me to buy this palette, it has similar shades to the Soft Glam. I literally only bought this palette cause I fell in love with the packaging, when I received it, I wasn’t so amazed. The packaging has that glitterly, rough affect to it. This palette doesn’t have anything unique about it so it wasn’t a necessity for me to buy it.

  8. Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer – Superdrug – £4
This concealer is great for the price, affordable and a drugstore dupe to the Tarte Tape Shape concealer. I have too many high end concealers, and thought I’d try this super affordable concealer out. It’s definitely worth it, for the price of only £4.

I hope you enjoyed being nosey and seeing how much I spent on makeup this month. 😛 It is therapeutic for me, and helps me with the stress I have. I love makeup, it makes me happy. Even if I don’t use half of the stuff I buy, it’s there and it’s mine. 🙂
