New Year – New Makeup

I promised myself, when the year started I wouldn’t spend that much on makeup. I lied.

I spent too much.

However, in my defence. Some of the products I bought was just rebuying the same things because I have run out. 🤷🏽‍♀️

So don’t hate. But here’s a list of January’s Beauty Haul.

1.Iconic Illuminator Drops £30

They had a discount code for £10 off. The original price was £30. So technically that’s a good bargain. Right? 🙄

I heard so many good reviews about these drops, I just had to try it out myself. They have four shades, I went with Shine, which is a pink based shimmer to add a pearly shine. It can be used with my foundation, or as a base before I apply my foundation, and also after I’ve applied my foundation as a highlighter.

2. Laura Mercier Translucent Powder £29

I went to selfridges in Oxford Street for my wedding shoes and they had a Laura Mercier and other dreamy counters, which I was forbidden from buying any other makeup but I needed to repurchase this setting powder as I ran out of it and this was the perfect opportunity to do so. It’s simply the best translucent powder by far. No flashbacks at all! I would swear by this product for sure!

3. Too Faced Chocolate Gold £39

This was missions to get hold of! The debenhams website authorised my order then sent an email half hour later after the confirmation email that it’s been cancelled. So then I tried with my brothers card and the same thing happened. I just went into store and ordered it off of them. It was delivered successfully which was a relief and it was worth it! I mean have you seen how dreamy it is. Like oh my 😍

4. Anastasia Beverly Hills Sugar Glow Kit, Dipbrow Pomade, Brow Gell & Brow Brush £101

Ok, so after I got the Too Faced palette I was like no, no more. Then CultBeauty email me giving me a 15% discount and I literally couldn’t help myself. And I did need to buy another Dipbrow and restock on brow gel, so I basically did NEED to buy it. Also the Glow Kit was the last one I needed to complete my collection and it’s just literally so pretty, so please, don’t hate?

The pigmentation is so creamy and buttery, it literally is so beautiful. 🙂

5. Nars Luminous Foundation and Creamy Concealer £59

I found a new website that’s called Fabled by Marie Claire and they combine their deliveries with Ocado. When you sign up they give you a 15% coupon off your first order. The Nars Foundation is my number one favourite and it was another restock, same with the Concealer. 🤷🏽‍♀️

6. Tarte Shape Tape Concealer. £22

I heard it’s the best of the best, I had to try it out for myself, and they had free delivery. 😂

It comes with a big doe applicator and it is very full coverage, some days I can just use the concealer on it’s own without any foundation, so it is a win win. The packaging it comes in is so exciting and very well presented.

7. Tarte Limited Edition Make Believe in Yourself Eye and Cheek Palette £17 and Skin Twinkle Lighting Palette £25

So you do not understand how badly I have wanted this palette, from when it first launched. It was limited edition and I’ve been trying to look for it, chase it, but I could never get my hand on it. The Tarte website wouldn’t let me access it from the UK so when I was tracking my shape tape concealer order, I just thought let me just search it and BOOM it was there for £17!!!! Then to get free delivery I needed to spend £23 more or pay £10 for the delivery. So obviously, I went on a hunt and found this highlighter palette on sale for £25. And then, you know the rest. 😉

8. Mac Fix Plus Coconut, Lip Liner Soar & Lip Conditioner £46

These were all rebuys, they’ve got a new range and scents of fix plus I went with coconut, the other scents are the original one, lavender, rose and coconut. I’m allergic to lavender so that was a no, I’ve purshaces the rose one before so I thought I’d try the coconut fix plus. Soar is my favourite lip liner, I use this with anything and everything before I apply any lipsticks. The lip conditioner, I use all the time, it helps keep it hydrated, soft and fresh especially in the winter season it’s horrible. When I apply any lipsticks it doesn’t crack or dry my lips out.

So these are my January makeup buys, I am putting myself in a makeup ban so hopefully I don’t buy anything more! I got a damn. wedding to pay for 🙊
